Meet Dr. Watkins
Dr. Rebecca Watkins-Pettit has been a practicing endodontist in the greater Pittsburgh for many years, providing the highest level of care to thousands of patients. She has been recognized yearly by her peers as a Top Dentist in Pittsburgh Magazine. She completed her pre-doctoral studies at Ohio University receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a minor in Psychology. In 2003, she received a D.M.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Watkins graduated near the top of her class and was named to the Dean’s List with honors for four years. She was the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships.
In 2005, Dr. Watkins completed the Post-Doctoral Endodontic Program at the University of Pittsburgh, Department of Endodontics, receiving her Endodontic Specialty Certification. She entered into a private endodontic practice in suburban Philadelphia, before returning to the Pittsburgh area in 2006. She maintains membership in the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Western Pennsylvania Dental Society, and the American Association of Endodontics. She serves on the board of The Watchful Shepherd, a charitable organization dedicated to the prevention of child abuse. Dr. Watkins resides in Peters Township with her husband, Judge Jesse Pettit, and her four children. Dr. Watkins loves to travel with her family, but most weekends you can find her on the sidelines or in the bleachers at her children’s sporting events.
